Christoph has been actively climbing since 1983. For the past 20 years he has been consulting climbing gym owners and has designed over 40 000 sq.m (430 000 sq. ft) of climbing surface for walls of various purpose throughout the years.
Christoph climbed his first 8a+ in 1998 and since then he’s been German Champion in lead Climbing (1993), 7th place World Champion Innsbruck (1993), 5th place Worldcup Birmingham (1995).

He has an impressive list of climbs including: Redpoint “Le Specialiste directe” Verdon 8c , Redpoint “Macumba club” Orgon 8c and Redpoint “Maginot Line”Volx 8c. That being said, Christoph definitely knows what the end customer of a climbing gym is looking for in a climbing wall. In 1998 he founded his own company Outdoor Consulting GmbH and joined Walltopia in 2010 as a representative, climbing wall designer and PM for Swiss and Germany.

Chris studied business economy, in his free time he enjoys road biking and ski touring along with climbing, of course.
