Mark Sebille (born 1955, in Brussels) has been climbing on four continents for half a century and has participated in several expeditions. He observed the rise of sport climbing from the very beginning. In recent decades he has written articles about the history of climbing in various magazines and books. He is a passionate researcher and tries to accurately document the roots of sport climbing. He is currently managing director of the Belgian Indoor Climbing Federation.
